Frequently asked questions

How much does physiotherapy cost?

The consultation fee is ₹200. Physiotherapy session charges depend on your treatment plan and vary from patient to patient, for example by your condition, the number of sessions and whether you choose a home visit. I explain the charges clearly at your consultation, before treatment starts. There are no hidden charges.

What is the consultation fee?

The consultation fee is ₹200. It covers your assessment and a clear explanation of your problem and treatment plan.

How much do physiotherapy sessions cost after the consultation?

Session charges depend on your treatment plan, so they vary from person to person. After your consultation I tell you how many sessions you are likely to need and what they will cost, before we start.

How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?

It depends on your problem, how long you have had it and how regularly you do your home exercises. A recent strain may need 3 to 6 sessions, while long term pain or rehab after surgery or a stroke needs more. I give you an honest estimate at the first visit and review it as you improve.

How long is a physiotherapy session?

The first session usually takes 45 to 60 minutes, because it includes a full assessment, explanation and the start of treatment. Follow up sessions are usually 30 to 45 minutes.

Is physiotherapy painful?

Physiotherapy should not be very painful. Some exercises and stretches can feel uncomfortable at first, and you may feel a little sore after the first few sessions, which usually settles within a day. I always explain what I am doing and adjust treatment to what you can manage.
